Our summer program in Thailand departs on 6th August 2018 to take you to distant shores and adventures in the sun. Experience Thailand like you’ve never seen it before with our fully immersive mini gap year. Enjoy a fulfilling, uplifting, life changing gap year experience in just five weeks and be back in time for Uni!

What can you expect from the Thailand Summer Program?

A unique opportunity to live, work and play in a rural community in Tha Ton, near the Maekok River. This beautiful setting is home to a fantastic community and excited children who you will help to learn English at the local school as part of your volunteering program.

You will quickly become a part of village life and will forge lasting friendships with the people you meet, many of our old ‘AVs’ go back to visit the friends they made and keep in touch regularly.

Avoid the Thailand Cliché

Unlike many Thailand gap years where you often stay in a youth hostel and watch from the sidelines with the other tourists. At AV we pride ourselves in offering travellers the opportunity to see the true Thailand and live as a local to fully appreciate all that this amazing country has to offer. With us, you get a full gap year experience in Thailand in your summer holidays!

Volunteering is at our core as a not-for-profit social enterprise and you have the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of the children and adults that you meet. But we also want our travellers to have an adventure and experience everything that Thailand has to give.

The ultimate adventure holiday

We give you the independence to decide how you want to spend your free time and the reassurance that AV are there for you when you need us. Try Kayaking on the Maekok River, climb to visit hidden hill tribe villages, soak up the culture by visiting some of the many temples, or simply relax on the white sands of one of the picturesque beaches.

Whatever you feel like doing this summer, Thailand has the answer.
